Terms of Service

Last updated: July 3, 2026

These terms govern your use of usevizzy.com — the publishing and viewing service for Vizzy diagrams (the “Service”) — operated by Cartographer ApS, a company registered in Denmark (“we”, “us”). Contact: legal@usevizzy.com. By signing in or publishing content you agree to these terms.

1. The Service — experimental

The Service lets you publish Vizzy documents and workspaces from the Vizzy app to public web pages, and lets anyone view published content. Web publishing is currently experimental: features may change, break, or be removed, and we may need to migrate or delete published data during this period. We will use reasonable efforts to give notice of disruptive changes, but we provide no availability guarantee or SLA.

2. Accounts

  • You sign in with a GitHub account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
  • Your published content lives under your GitHub username (e.g. usevizzy.com/@you/…). Don’t use a handle to impersonate another person or organization; we may reclaim handles used misleadingly.

3. Your content and the license you grant us

You keep ownership of everything you publish. So that we can operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, rendering your documents to images or web formats), publicly display, and distribute your published content — including through content delivery networks and caches — for the purpose of providing the Service. This license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except for the limited retention described in section 7.

By publishing content you represent that:

  • you have all rights needed to publish it and to grant the license above;
  • it doesn’t infringe anyone’s intellectual property or other rights;
  • it doesn’t contain confidential information belonging to others (for example, an employer’s or client’s systems) that you aren’t authorized to make public; and
  • it doesn’t include personal data about others that you have no lawful basis to publish.

4. Published content is public

Everything you publish is public. Anyone who has (or guesses) a link can view, save, and copy published content. Published pages are excluded from search-engine indexing (noindex), but that is a courtesy, not privacy or confidentiality — we owe no confidentiality obligations over content you choose to publish. Do not publish anything you are not comfortable being public.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to publish or do any of the following:

  • content that is illegal, or that infringes intellectual-property or other rights;
  • malware, phishing, or links designed to harm or deceive;
  • other people’s personal data without a lawful basis (doxxing);
  • harassment, threats, or hateful conduct;
  • spam, or content published primarily to manipulate search or referral systems;
  • anything that circumvents rate limits, probes, or disrupts the Service’s security or operation.

6. Moderation and enforcement

We may remove or disable access to content, or suspend or terminate accounts, that we reasonably believe violate these terms or applicable law. We are a hosting service and do not pre-review published content. Illegal or infringing content can be reported via our notice-and-action process; when we remove content following a notice, we will tell the publisher what was removed and why, and they may reply to contest the decision.

7. Deletion and retention

  • Deleting a published workspace (from your library) removes its content from the Service.
  • Cached copies at the network edge may persist briefly (typically minutes) after deletion.
  • Content may persist in backups for up to 30 days before being purged.
  • We may retain records we need to comply with law or resolve disputes.

8. Our intellectual property; feedback

The Service, the Vizzy app, and the Vizzy name are ours. These terms don’t grant you rights in them beyond using the Service. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Published content belongs to its publishers; we don’t endorse it and aren’t responsible for it.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or loss of data or profits, arising from use of the Service, and our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to DKK 500 or the amount you paid us for the Service in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer in the EU you keep all mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.

11. Indemnity

If a third party brings a claim against us arising from content you published or your breach of these terms, you agree to indemnify us for the resulting losses and reasonable costs.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give reasonable advance notice (for example, on this page or by email). Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes belong to the courts of Denmark — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the protections and venue rights that the law of your country of residence mandates.
